That sounds excessive, I found this one and thought £150 was a bit much.
Dealers do see us all as an infinite revenue stream.

At the time I didn`t know what effect disconnecting the battery would have, I now know it is not a problem so buy the cheaper one and fit it yourself. It is still an expensive battery.

Well europarts are quoting £150 or thereabouts for an battery for my ASX2 1.6 Petrol so they are much of a muchness pricewise. I had my Jazz 5 and a half years and it was a year old when I got it, did much the same type of driving as I do now and never needed a new one for that - it's all luck of the draw I guess.

All the best
Steve

I just bought a new battery from Mitsubishi in Hereford for £83 inc Vat, it's the same size and works fine. I was pleasantly surprised after all the evidence pointed to something costing twice that.
The only niggle now is that the orange engine management symbol is on so I'll need to check that out.

Thank for the update on your battery. Be interested to know why the engine management light is on. I wonder if it is connected to the battery problem and the computer just needs a reset?

All the best
