ASX 2013 63 1.6 petrol.
Water droplets are coming from central (light switch?) plastic area in the roof above gear stick / handbrake for first time today. Unsure whether it is condensation or water coming in through the plastic roof console. Cold day today, was not using heater.
But previous 2 days were freezing and was using heater normally with fan. Some condensation as usual on driver instrument display.
Never had this problem before.
Car bought as second user in excellent condition 18000 miles only.
Does anyone have any idea what to check please?
Andy,do you have the air recirculation set to allow air to be drawn from outside the car,if it is set for the air to be recirculated inside the car this may cause more condensation to occur,I can't see it being an external leak but may be worth drying the light fitting and giving the car roof a good hosing.
If the light is lit on the temperature control dial (left hand dail) push the dail to circulate air from outside. The internal recirculation is useful for cold mornings in conjunction with aircon for quicker defrost/demist,also when sat in traffic jams, not sure if it is activated automatically when the aircon is set to auto, not a good idea to leave it on because of condensation buildup if used without aircon
